News from ESC 2
This term we have continued with our inclusive health program with Ms Larkman and the wonderful room 2 from the Junior Primary school. The students love coming together on a Tuesday afternoon to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to take personal and collective action to enhance the inclusion of everybody in everyday life. The students have been learning to work collaboratively through games and activities that include everyone as well as recognizing their own strengths and abilities.
Our STEM project this term has been based on the book The Most Magnificent Thing. The students have been designing and making their own Magnificent Things using recycled materials. They have been working hard on some imaginative creations, from robots and diggers to houses and runways.
Another favorite lesson in ESC 2 is our weekly cooking session. We have been learning to use lots of different utensils and tools to make some delicious snacks. This also allows the children to practice their measurement skills, an important concept in Maths. We have also been doing lots of other hands on Maths activities to consolidate their skills.
Our Super Stars
We have seen some fantastic work come up to the office. The students especially enjoy receiving a Principal Award and when thier sticker chart is full, they get to choose a prize.

Be You
Thank you to those parents who completed the Be You survey in the last newsletter. The results below suggest that parents think student’s mental health is as important as physical health and that Westminster ESC promotes mental health well. The Action Team will be meeting this week to discuss how we as a school can support families in accessing resources and knowledge in supporting their children at home.
